One of the topics we covered in Career Boot Camp was how to develop a personal brand. A brand name means a consistent product, an emotional bond, and an engagement that stands for something. We talked about what top brand names like Apple, Target, Google, Barbie, FedEx, Facebook, and even The New York Yankees evoke in customers. Boot Camp attendees wrote out what their brand promise is to potential employers. (You can get a free copy of the BRAND YOU! Workbook here and complete these exercises on your own.)
And because Apple is one of my favorite brands (to me it says cool design, customer service, creativity, and fun) I offered the I-Pod shuffle drawing as a reward for students who participated in the Boot Camp or anyone who subscribed to the blog during the last few weeks. (Us bloggers love new subscribers and new reader comments.)
So today (drum roll) I'm pleased to announce that SANDRA CARTER won the drawing for the I-Pod shuffle. Tell me your color preference and it's on your way. (Please leave your favorite color as a comment.) The shuffle will be waiting for you at the Career and Internship Center office by July 15.
And if you know anyone who would enjoy this blog, ask them to subscribe here. No I-Pod shuffle for subscribing this time, but my very best thinking on careers, motivation, and finding a life's work.
